Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard

2.0

Pretty Little Liars is my favorite television show, so perhaps that's why this book fell short for me. I know that the show and the books are extremely different, but I couldn't help but feel more of a liking for the show rather than the book. I feel like this book was more than likely intended for an audience younger than myself--in a lot of ways, the language and depth of the characters reminded me of the Clique series I read back in junior high.

If I was younger, I'd probably like the series more. But the unnecessary amount of detail to the designer clothes and accessories the characters wore, the vapid way in which they appeared throughout the majority of the novel left me rather unimpressed.
