To Lure a Lost Duke by Christy Carlyle
A mix of some of my favorite things a heroine that is doing a man’s job, a hero that is haunted by his past and the queen! This is a bit of a love at first sight story that leaps off the pages. I loved how quickly everything happened and the twist once they got back to London. The ending was perfect.
Octavia is very much independent and out to do her job. I loved everything about her because she was serious about her job, but also very caring and bold.
Killian has hidden for different reasons than most think. I loved how took care of others and when he realized what he needed to do.
Cast in Scandal by Laura Landon
Scandal runs wild in London some known and some not. This one was great because I somewhat knew was behind everything, but there was still a small twist in it. I loved all of the scenes at the balls since there was always some kind of action good and bad. They were meant to find each other and it just took a crime to do it.
Alyssa is a very strong and innocent woman. She keeps her head high no matter what people say and is determined to take her place in society again. I loved her as soon as she walked into the ballroom and how she acted.
Edward has a very shocking secret that has kept him and his family mostly out of sight. But he is also a strong and smart man even if he comes off as cold at first. I loved how he was with his family.
The Viscount’s Secret by Anthea Lawson
This one provided some giggles and some different things and I loved that. The beginning was awesome and hooked me right away. I loved their meeting and her aunt even though she could be a little out there in what she said and did, but she cared about her niece. I thought things would happen one way, but they happened another way.
Irenna doesn’t trust many men because of something that happened, but she also has an eye for seeing the truth. I loved how she could fight if she had to and was brave in what she did.
Anthony definitely could be a peacock and make you smile. I loved him from the start and the show he put on. I also loved his fighting skills and how quick he was to react to things.
A Spy To Call My Own by Rebecca Paula
I loved that this one is set in Africa and that the heroine is a suffragette! It was definitely a scary adventure in Africa for both while trying to uncover the answers for her brother’s death. There were a couple of sneaky twists in this one that I couldn’t figure who was behind anything or if they were even connected until the end. I also loved that they actually knew each other already.
Vera was definitely a suffragette and I loved that. When she set her mind to something to meant to do it no matter what. She didn’t seem to ever second guess herself or really jump to conclusions.
Owen knew that his friend’s death wasn’t as it seemed. He did his job and he did it very well. I loved how he just said what he was thinking when it came to everything and tried to get her back home.
Tempting the Scoundrel by Lana Williams
I loved this one from the start. As soon as they met I knew sparks were going to fly both good and bad. His grandmother was so much fun with how she had a plan and you didn’t argue with her. I loved the back and forth between them and when everything happened at the concert hall. The ending was great too.
Sophia was a determined girl. She could see there was something in him that didn’t match his reputation. I loved how she fought with herself because of what her aunt had drilled into her.
Elliott will have your heart from the start because of how he is with his grandmother. He hates to lie but has to so he can protect those around him. I loved how he was with everyone he talked to because he was kind.
