It is really disappointing that in this day and age we are still portraying women in ways that are misogynistic and inaccurate.
The descriptions of the women in this book sound like they are told from the point of view of a fourteen year old male teenager.
Women don't just lust after every male that comes into their view. Nor do they squeal in excitement when they all have their periods at the same time. (What?!)
This was dull because the main characters, the women, were superficial and completely unrealistic as a result.
It's a shame that a serious topic like WWII can end up so flat and almost gaudy.
