Ice Hunt by James Rollins

4.0

Started today March 1st., 2013.
Good paced, a bit too much action and not enough time to rest.
A few nice twists, but one I guessed early on, could have done better. More realistic than some other books by Rollins, and nearly in the same league as a lot of Douglas Preston / Lincoln Child (both their collaborations and their single authored books).
Good idea for once a story which starts shortly before the WW2 without Nazis, and listing atrocities of other countries.
High body-count.
For some reason it was not a total page-turner for me, maybe too much action and no peace?
Due to the timeline, the main characters went without sleep for most of the story, which adds to me to the feeling, a few pauses in between would have been more realistic, stopping for sleep. For that and a bit too much action only 4 stars.
