The Poison Squad: One Chemist's Single-Minded Crusade for Food Safety at the Turn of the Twentieth Century by Deborah Blum

informative medium-paced

I think this is the first nonfiction book (excluding a few memoirs) that I have ever actually enjoyed reading. I was fascinated the whole time. I will say, based on the title I thought there would be a bit more focus on the actual “Poison Squad” studies, but I’m glad it went through the whoooole history.
