I honestly didn’t expect this story to be as complex as it is. The way the boys describe the Lisbon sisters and their lives almost remind me of a fly on a wall, in the sense where it just swarms around or stays planted up a against the wall just there not really doing anything just observing and that’s exactly what they did among many others. This story dives into what it’s like to watch someone in this case the Lisbon family drown deeper and deeper into grief and depression along with the complexities of their lives. I absolutely loved everything about this book especially it being from the prospective of teenage boys turn to adults. I love the unreliableness of their interactions and I love how it dabbles in the boys perception of the Lisbon family through their obsession with the sisters. Highly recommend
Moderate: Self harm, Suicide, and Suicide attempt
