Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child

3.0

I liked the overall plot of the book. It kept me guessing in some ways on what would happen next. What I didn't like was the monster kind of fell flat. It was so hideous that people would slacken from fear and not even try to run, but I couldn't half tell you what it looked like. It was such a smorgasbord of different things mashed together that it made no sense. What also made no sense is why it attacked at all. It claimed if someone screamed it hurt its ears and so it would attack, but initially it attacked without someone screaming. Also, the Tinut legend of it was so forced and they were brought in for filler it seemed. I wanted to like it more but it just couldn't up to the story that was told about it.
