"Well, sure good to be together again. Arguing. Almost dying. Abject terror. Oh, look. It's our floor."
A great ending to this series! It was slower in pace compared to the others, but I devoured this book quickly. The tone was much darker than in the other books (although the previous one hinted at this), yet there was still a lot of sense of humour and tender moments between the characters. There were plenty of plot twists which I didn't expect (and I literally gasped out loud when I read them). I got emotional towards the end, which I also didn't expect! I really enjoyed the ending, although I really didn't expect it - I think it was very fitting and an interesting twist on the Chosen One trope.
Moderate: Death, Mental illness, and Injury/Injury detail
