Skip Beat!, Vol. 3 by Yoshiki Nakamura

emotional inspiring fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

3.5

I love this volume because Kyoko has such a great range of character developments. The first few chapters wrap up the Ruriko arc, and the scene of Kyoko acting with Tsuruga was great. I like that Kyoko finds out pretty early on about how empty she is as a person because everything she's done has been for other people. And the volume also brings back Kotonami, or Moko. I am loving that she is back in the story. She's a great partner for Kyoko. The next arc, the acting school one, is one of my favorite developments for Kyoko. She uses her hurtful feelings to act out the script that re-traumatizes Maria.
