Omg, Chloe Liese is a new favorite and will become an auto-buy author for me! These Bergman Brothers books are 🤌🏻 *chefs kiss*
First off… the tropes! We basically have a forbidden love/workplace romance thing going, and then the forced proximity.
Ren is a Shakespeare-loving, hockey-playing, cinnamon roll of a man. Seriously - so thoughtful, sweet, caring, and genuine.
And I love Frankie - she puts up a strong front and is so resistant to allowing herself to be vulnerable. This is the author’s first #OwnVoices romance, as Frankie is autistic and has a chronic illness (RA) and that really affects how she interacts with the world and how/when she decides to let people in. I thought that representation was written beautifully and I hope to continue seeing more of that in the world of romance 💗 also, we love a baddie with a cane!
The slow burn is worth it my friends! A romance filled with both funny and tender moments 🥺
