I find these books to not require much of me emotionally or intellectually so I can just kind of sit and let it wash over me and laugh a little at the funny bits. The violence isn’t described in a way that makes me envision it so I’m not disturbed. 
and for some reason the narrator’s voice is calming to me now. a good, low stakes read.
