I initially picked this up only because I'm a fan of reading the book first, and I wanted to watch the miniseries. At the beginning, I struggled to connect with Elizabeth's cool logic and unemotional responses. It was frustrating when her logic clashed with the nonlogical but very predictable parts of life. However, the second half of the book drew me in, and I really quite liked her by the end. The other characters were also very lovable, and the conclusion was delightful! I'm so glad that I listened to this book!
Graphic: Death and Misogyny
Minor: Suicide
