The Indian Bride by Karin Fossum

4.0

While I love a good murder mystery, I often struggle with the graphic violence of many modern Scandinavian writers and so avoid them. I had this book on my Kindle and don't even remember why I bought it, but it was just what I wanted last time I went looking for something to read.
While the murder in it is brutal and nasty, the book has a very gentle measured pace with well developed characters who all have complex lives. The ending is just a little ambiguous but as the book was written 13 years ago, I suspect Ms Fossum has tied up most of those loose ends in subsequent books. I may check that out at a later time.
