Not only did the author and illustrator do a great job, but so did the editors and colourists. Every chapter has a different colour palette. Different timelines have different illustration styles. Every chapter starts with a wonderful watercolour piece and ends with a cute doodle.
The first four chapters follow each friend & their perspective with the last chapter being group dynamic.
Some heavy topics of mental health and elderly care (see content warnings if necessary).
I really enjoyed the Nisha’s and Davene’s chapters. The panel work of the group chat was well done. The attention to detail was incredible; ALL the steps of hair care and hygiene rituals were shown.
The book had my immediate attention as soon as I saw the keys in the knuckles on page 3.
