There's just something off about this book that I am just not liking . I think the atmosphere and the overall aesthetic that this book has is ON POINT. It is very gothic-y and grim & shrouded in mystery.
But the pov that we're in? Violeta? I don't like it. She is just coming across as really naive and ditzy in a way that makes you wanna scream. I already know that she's gonna drive me up the walls & it is really gonna take away from my enjoyment of the novel. Maybe it has to do with the writing, I'm not sure, but this book isn't working for me unfortunately.
