After seeing the movie I absolutely HAD to read this book. Usually, in most cases, the book is far superior to the movie or show. I’m not so sure about this book though.
I will say, the ending to the movie was a bit more impressive than the end of this book. The book just, well, ends. The story was good, but it wasn’t nearly as intriguing or exciting as I hoped it would be. I read the whole book just hoping that it would get better as it progressed, but I just don’t feel like it ever really did.
In its own way I can see how the story could be one that I would have liked....if I hadn’t watched the movie which is the sole reason I give it 3-5 stars. Honest review? Don’t read this if you have chosen to watch the movie based on it. That’ll ruin it for you and give you false expectations. If you haven’t seen it I say go for it though because who knows, you might love it.
