I completely inhaled this book. I first love reading about protagonists of color, and Kareena was a beauty to behold. Strong, opinionated, multi-faceted, I really loved her character and the chemistry between her and Prem. They went about a fake relationship different than most books that follow this trope I think, and it was magnificent. The whole Bindu wedding subplot reminded me a lot of 27 Dresses, which is one of my favorite romcoms. I can’t wait to reread this again, I loved the complexities of this book. It was giving characters, it was giving drama, it was giving romance, like I immediately marked all the other books in the series as ‘to read’ by the time I was halfway through. I am excited to see how everyone else’s stories unfold because I loved the characters that much.
In terms of content warnings, it took me aback in terms of sexual content so if you’re not for that, I probably would not recommend. Also not the hugest fan of Taylor Swift or Prem’s dick being referred to as ‘Charlie’, but hey.
