After however many years of reading Monstress, it's a fun change of pace to see Liu and Takeda tackle a modern-day setting. This first volume has some horror, some gore, and even a bit of humor. I found it a quick, enjoyable read and will definitely pick up the next one.
Graphic: Gore and Violence
Minor: Racism
This is a contemporary setting where COVID exists, but it is not relevant to the story.
