Well I wasn't expecting to be moved by a zombie apocalypse story but here I am tearing up on the airplane. This was such a beautiful and strange book about grief and continuing on after the unthinkable happens. The imagery of the final scene has stuck with me vividly for several days.

There's a lot to chew on here, so I would like to give this a re-read at some point. I don't think this is in any way a comp for A Psalm for the Wild-Built, but it did leave me with a very similar feeling of catharsis afterwards.
