I picked this up years ago and might have enjoyed it more had I read it closer to then rather than now, as I'm finding with most YA I'm picking up. The story is perfectly lovely but I felt like the characters weren't as fleshed out as I want mine to be, and this is what I think has been missing from a lot of YA for me. Still, it was pleasant enough and might be a fun read for someone looking for another take on the Cinderella-type trope.
