First time reading this author, and I loved her writing, that narrative that challenges you to understand who is speaking and when the story is being told. However, I was left with a bit of a nagging feeling, like much was left unresolved.

What I liked most about this novel was the description of the characters, their personalities, and how distinct each one was from the other. The clash of personalities, whether they were present or absent, stood out because of how well they were developed.

Did I feel there were parts that dragged? Yes. Did I feel there were parts that were missing? Also, yes. It was disappointing that it ended the way it did, right when everything was starting to pick up its pace.
