A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

4.0

I like the way this book makes me feel at the ending, all squishy and warm. Its pretty much the only good part of the book in terms of something nice happening.

We all know the story of scrooge if not parts of the story and adaptations like Disney's Donald duck story which I remember watching around this time of year on the Disney Channel. I like that adaptation the best secretly. I think you only don't know about Scrooge if you're not necessary English speaking or you don't celebrate the holiday Christmas.

I enjoy this story because it teaches you things that you should do as a human being and things you should not do as a human being. I think the fact that this is set around Christmas and focus' a lot on Christmas shouldn't effect the morals and how you are as a person. This story tells you or implies that you should be a better person by treating people better like being a good kind employer, being a kind friend just basically being nice. Something a lot of people overlook and don't do anymore.

However, while I like the morals of the story I'm not that fussed with the actual story or writing. I found with another Classic book while I appreciate that this was good in the time it was written and people enjoy it now and they did then. I am not one of those people. It doesn't float my boat.
