Oh yeah... Oh yeah... I cant believe, I finish it that fast in spite of several upcoming exams!!!
So, that aint the purpose of this review
So, at the end of 'Shadow Kiss', Rose was basically like this.....
When she heard the news from Mason...
Then... even a kick ass protagonist like her had this moment..
After several days, she had looked like this...
After all that happened, after all she did, after what she's been through....
This is what she get.
She basically saved everyone other than the man she loves.
Hopefully, you knew what happened to handsome,hot, sexy Dimitri by this, right? You wouldnt want to spoil yourself. He became a Strigoi-- blood hunting, power hunger, selfish, no heart undead creature. And back then, Rose and Dimitri had said to each other; they are better dead-dead than be turned into a Strigoi. In short, they promised to each other if one had been turned into a Strigoi, one should kill her/him no matter what. Therefore, Rose had been set for a Journey to kill the man she loved. The reason why this book name is "Blood Promise"
Even though terrible things happened to her, she left the Academy-- strong, fierce, and determined than ever. She is really Rose Hathaway
My rating is 4.5 :D It should have been perfect if not the first 300 pages was kind of....hmmm.. boring.. or just slow. I mean I was expecting tons of action in the entire book. However, I get less. But when an abrupt action came, it is really an "ACTION-ACTION". As in, Rose isnt a prim and proper woman. She really does know how to fight and can give her audiences a good show.
I hate how Rose can be brat sometimes especially to Adrian. She always as in always snapping him. However, there were really reasons why Rose was acting like that. If you would ever think deeply, Rose was like every teenage girl. There are reasons for every bad actions. If you hate her, you maybe hate yourself too. You are not perfect, admit it. You have flaws and moments out of control. However, you have reason why you are suddenly being like that. The things is, in the end of the day, Rose always know the right thing to do.
I also wanna share how I love her sense of humor. She's truly funny in not trying hard way.
I wanna give examples:
"Why did you come here?" he asked at last. "Because you hit me on the head and dragged me here" If I was going to die, I was going to go in true Rose style.
"Pazvaneet?" The woman looked back at me in surprise. I wasnt sure if I had the word right. I must have just asked for a pay phone instead of a cell phone-- or maybe Id asked for a giraffe-- but hopefully the message came through regardless.
Even though she was in the worst case scenario or "on the verge of dying", she knew how to lighten the mood and threw a good joke.
This would be the last, I just wanna let you know how hot-- It's given that Dimitri was hot-- yet when he was turned.. Whoa!! is it possible a Strigoi can be hotter yet cold, sexier yet scary, and handsome yet different.
I like Dimitri the way he became, such a turn on..... Like, this is who he really is....
Never mind. Yeah read it!!! Love the Strigoi Dimitri and Rose moment. Sexy. <3 -- so much for hiding the spoiler -_-
