The book is definitely what i was searching for in terms of setting and plot. At first I didn't really wnat to pick it up because of the element of the bog time skip where everything has already happened and i tend to feel suffocated in those types of books for somw reason. But after the last book i read which was in a similar sense with a time skip, a school, a murder etcetera i decided to give it a shot. The main character Amb along with her friend Sully are not good people whoch immediately made me love them, not giving out spoilers but i get how a person would definitely not agree with me liking them. Despite all of that i found myself rooting for the main character and greq more and more panicked and disappointed as the book went on following her emotional experience. I don't think i read this book right because i was honestly hoping she'll get away with it for some reason i cant explain but a tragedy stays a tragedy. Fair warning if you want a satisfying ending you might or might not get that, if by the end of the book you're still rooting for Amb and/or Sully you won't get what you want but otherwise you will see them "get what they deserved". I personally really liked it, read it in two days, was too focused to go to bed and when i woke the first thing i did was finish it. The "gone girl meets the secret history" is not inaccurate just so you know the main character is smart like Amy Dunne to some extent but definitely not as smart as her to get away with it. So if the factor of them being smart and not making dumb mistakes is important to you keep that in mind (it isn't like the main character is dumb or anything i imagine i would do way worse in her shoes but she lets some things slip)
