I really enjoyed this book alot! I found both characters charming and their meeting and developing feelings felt organic and fitting to the scenario. The challenges they faced along the way seemed realistic, without being gruesome. I really appreciated that the darkness of the world and each characters backstory were acnowledged but the overall tone of hopefullness and human kindness and connection was maintained.  That was one of my favorite parts avout the book! I think the growth of eath character, which was heavily influenced by the other one was handled well. Overall I was delighted to find a queer lovestory in one of my favorite genres, apocalypse which was hopeful and
had a ambiguous but happy ending.
