It’s been quite some time since I’ve read a fantasy novel — so I was a bit worried going into ”A River Enchanted” that it would take me awhile to get back into the groove of things — but the transition ended up being pretty seamless for me, thanks to Ross’ writing style! :)

I adored the characters in this novel. They felt incredibly real + raw & there were numerous moments throughout the story where I wanted to reach through the pages and give them a big hug (🥺)…
