it started off really promising (i loved the writing and the dialogue was fun) but it started dragging after like 20% in and i started getting super frustrated with both of the mcs. a lot of their conflict felt repetitive and redundant. it was fast paced in the beginning then got really slow so i think that made it more of a chore. i don't usually like the pregnancy trope either (though as i said, it started off promising) so that didn't help either. it's well written, particularly in the first 3rd, but i'm not a huge fan of the writing style. that said this was published a decade ago, so i'm sure there will be noticeable improvement in her more recent works. i'd be willing to try other books from this author because it was well written and i found the characters interesting initially but this one was just a miss for me personally.
