This book was much better than I expected it to be and I’m
absolutely not mad about it.

My girlfriend read this a while ago and told me to read it, too. I have to say that I might’ve had a few prejudices due to the cover and what I’ve heard about the series… but this had me HOOKED.
I enjoyed reading this and am honestly looking forward to the next book. I gotta say that I liked the protagonist, but she got a little unsympathetic towards the end of the book due to her indecisiveness and the way she handled things at one point of the story. She’s also kinda badass though. I like her attitude the way she doesn’t want to change for anyone.
While I’ve heard people think of Maxon as a rather one dimensional character, I really (really) liked him nonetheless.
I loved America and Maxon’s dynamic. They’re great together and I’m hoping to see more of that in the next book/s.

Despite some very interesting and sometimes questionable name choices, this was an entertaining read that had me invested at all times.

Here’s to America being more decisive in the next book (very hopefully)
