Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.

I felt like there were a lot of other characters in the story maybe from other books written by the author that made the story set up confusing. Almost like I was missing out on a chunk of story or information. Seemed a lot of the characters were intertwined in some way that as a first time reader of this author didn’t make sense to me.
