This book is challenging because you have to read between the lines to see the meaning behind some metaphors. I'm guessing this is the way people would speak in real life as well, as the metaphors concern taboo and/or triggering topics. 

This is a good read to see life from a different perspective and in a different environment. There is some beautiful and moving writing surrounding the difficult topics, but there are also joyful and loving parts.
