This book is essentially “hunted” but more extreme. As always I love Stephen king, he always manages to keep me engrossed in the story and he is a magnificent story teller. I appreciate that this book was written in the 1980’s but there was just no need for the amount of racist remarks made - completely ruined the book for me as it didn’t add any depth to the story line at all.
I did love the twist at the very end though, I shouldn’t have expected it to be predictable but I was lulled into a false sense of predictions and he did a full 360 on me.
I also felt very unnerved about how it was written in 1983, but set in 2025 and referring to the past being 2020/2002/1997 - the world I am literally living in now - mind = blown
