Truly, nothing much happens in this book (which is a shame, because the concept is very cool). The characters are so flat, there is very little plot, and the writing screams fanfic.
The last 25% did have some serious potential, though, and (despite my having to force myself to read the first three quarters) I finally felt myself connecting to the characters. Normally I wouldn't forgive a book for making me wait so long to feel literally anything, but alas - I actually did enjoy that last gasp. Cool concept, just needs polishing.
