Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts by Kate Racculia

4.0

Such a fun read with a great cast of characters. In the vein of The Westing Game and Ready Player One, when a mysterious billionaire dies and invites all Boston to play a game with him, Tuesday Mooney and a gang of ragtag mystery hunters get to work. However, there are many ways to play the game and over the course of the book, Tuesday and her friends all find different challenges and dragons to slay all culminating in one night in a haunted house that puts many ghosts to rest. Tuesday is such a fun character - flawed, haunted (literally), too smart for her own good. All the characters in the book grow a lot and learn from their mistakes but Tuesday definitely has the best arc in my opinion. It is a book that relies on misunderstanding and lies, which can get a bit much, but the author seemed to know right when the audience had had enough and drops the next clue in the game. Hard to put down once you get started!
