I really loved this book, it ticked all the boxes for me. It's a delightful, quick-witted regency era romp written for a modern audience. I thoroughly enjoyed being transported to the world of lavish parties and hilltop picnics.
Georgiana is a charming heroine that harks back to Austen's Emma and Mean Girls' Cady. Her biggest flaws, which derive from desperately wanting to find friends and be accepted, make her a very relatable character. Some of the observations on friendships made me pause.
The book touches on a few serious themes, but does so in a way that gives depth to the story without consuming it.
