The Life and Death of Sophie Stark by Anna North

5.0

Just brilliant. I got this from the library and then hesitated to read it as its not my typical genre and some of the reviews were less than flattering. As you can no doubt guess from my rating I'm glad that I read it anyway.

Even though the subject is not your typical character (she's neuroatypical) it's not a hard book to read and strangely satisfying as it just feels plausibly human, warts and all.
