This book was like a Hallmark movie with some spice, since Hallmark movies don't ever reference and bedroom activities. Mild spice in the book though, nothing super detailed or explicit.

I was in the mood for a holiday romance with a good plot and this book delivered! I enjoyed that this story had the male character being the one who needed to leave the big city life to find himself in a small town.

Both characters had a lot to work through together to find healing and find what they really wanted.

My only real issue was towards the ending. I felt the relationships were very rushed, especially since one set of characters only knew each other less than a month, and the other set had just reconnected. That always is a big nope for me. Hopefully the author doesn't do that in the other books in this series because I would like to read more of them the next time I'm looking for a romance plot line.

Other than that, the only other thing I didn't like was the town name. Tilikilum is an awful name, and sounds like something lewd you would say. 😅
