I started this book in written form, then switched to audio because I felt like the format might be more conducive to audio. It was weirdly dense, but also very talky. Ultimately, coming out of it, I felt it should have been a play or a movie. There’s something about it that needs to be both seen and heard. Dramatized. I dunno. It’s hard for the stakes to come across on the page, though they’re clearly there. An odd read.
