you know how they say, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’? well, i did exactly that with the whistling — and I regret nothing! I hunted down this super creepy cover on ebay, and while it wasn’t terrifying, it definitely had a few moments that made me wonder if I should keep the lights on 👻.
set on a remote scottish island (yep, creepy already), a young woman becomes a nanny for a troubled child in a house full of secrets. things start getting eerie—cue strange noises, ghostly whispers, and a mystery that unravels with just enough chills to keep you hooked. it’s the perfect mix of spooky without sending you into a full-blown horror spiral. 📖🖤 solid, eerie fun
