The Mental Load: A Feminist Comic by Emma
hopeful
informative
reflective
medium-paced
4.0
A nice introduction to a few different feminist and socialist topics. Lots of it was fundamental, so I wasn't necessarily the target audience. I'd say this would be a good read for teenagers and young adults. I learnt some things about birth (episiomities and that they are rarely actually needed and can exacerbate tearing). I liked her analogy about hijabs and burqas from a European perspective. And I thought she gave a good, clear introduction to bullshit jobs and universal basic income
Graphic: Medical trauma
Moderate: Racism, Sexism, and Police brutality
There are descriptions of birth trauma, as well as racially motivated police brutality
