I REALLY enjoyed this book. It was a fun take on magical fantasy featuring a world that is similar enough to others that we didn't need massive world building, but unique enough to set it apart from others. The letters were such a fun twist and I'm curious to learn more about the 3 friends who had the typewriters that connected them.
-1 star because I wish they would have gone more into the dating phase and not straight from rivals to friends to (spoilers here) marriage. I wish we would have seen them develop a bit more as a couple with sacrifices and learning more about each other outside of the letters. Overall, it was an amazing book. I read it in nearly one sitting (I drove home then plopped on the couch to read it again), and glad it got me out of my book slump!
