Flotsam & Jetsam by Carrie Ryan

4.0

For such a short story, Flotsam & Jetsam has a lot of emotion packed into it. I usually find Carrie Ryan's writing in this series to be quite separated and void of emotions - which works perfectly, since they're zombies and all - but this felt different. It was interesting to see how somebody would react to a zombie bite; thinking they would die whether they were bitten or not, and losing all hope. This story is about friendship, really, and not wanting to be alone.

This would have been a really good beginning to a full length book, and with what happens at the end, I wish it was!
