A lovely, cozy story - however it feels likę something is missing! Things arę happening just because, with no explanation why or how (how has the fire happened? why was it magical?) and you can kind of predict the whole plot within the first few chapters. But overall is was a nice journey.
Personally I would enjoy the book a bit more if there was no romantic connection between Tandri and Viv - I found it unnecessary and as soon as they had a picnic, I already knew what was going to happen.
Also, Viv's attitude right after the fire was APPALLING - how can you behave like a moody toddler, when you had all the warnings, you didn't ask for the warden to be renewed and didn't bother to change the Stone's location! Honey, you can only blame yourself...
