This is definitely an easy manga series to read--I just kept turning the pages. It doesn't take a ton of mental energy to follow. We are introduced a little more to Najika's special talent of an absolute sense of taste as well as her kind and positive attitude toward even those who are bullying her. We get to know Akane and some of her struggles (eating disorder related to her dreams of modeling), but Sora and Daichi, though they are very present in the book, are not very complex characters--I'm hoping that they get more background and time in future volumes. This volume didn't contribute much to the overarching story arc but had some fun episodes within. Very appropriate for middle school, if not a ton of depth.
