Pure adventure fantasy pulp. Not particularly deep, and some of it is a little... Dated, but nowhere near as much as some of its contemporaries. The protagonist is a globe trotting adventurer type who is almost agonizingly 1972, and every other plot part of the world and plot is equally archetypical in a way which is almost incredible to see, in the ways this era influenced what is now pure foundational trope.
Still, its a lot of fun and I don't regret a moment of it. The cheesy descriptions of worldly survivalist manly man sword fighting are delightfully of a type.
