The Treadstone Exile by Joshua Hood

3.0

Quick read. Lots of cation, but senseless plot.

Who edits these books? Chapter 13, “Dumping the assault pack wasn’t an option, so he turned around n his back, ….forcing himself into a backstroke.” Only to then two pages later, “Hayes was still trying to find the answer” (while daydreaming) “when his knees scraped the ground.”

If he is swimming backstroke, there is ZERO chance he could scrape his knees on the shore. I know it is a small thing, but how does a proofreader not catch a mistake like this?
