What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas…
The Eden family is well known in Quincy and has many family-owned businesses. When walking into The Eloise for the first time Jasper bumped into Eloise Eden herself and ever since he couldn’t get her out of his mind. Then one night in Vegas and many drinks later Eloise and Jasper get married. This is not great but how could she say no to Jasper the muscle man himself? But reality sets in fast. Her parents finally wanted to give the hotel to her and now she screwed up again and got married in Vegas. She needed this to be a secret until they could get an annulment. Jasper might have agreed to get married but how could he do it in the same chapel? Eloise didn’t deserve that and he knew that. He needs to figure out how he is going to keep this from Foster. Kind of hard when you are his trainer. This might just be the biggest news coming to Quincy.
I have been a fan of the Eden family ever since I started the series. This fake marriage trope was great. It just made this read so fun and lighthearted to read. And it was the perfect read while getting tattooed because I could just get lost in the story and not think of the pain I was in. Even the spicy chapters were read in the studio ;) I just love the joy Eloise has with the hotel and how much passion she puts into it. She still needs to learn what it means to take over full-time and build this boundary with her mom because it can get a bit exhausting trying to please everyone around you. Jasper is a man of not many words and being compassionate about family is hard when you come from one who is not interested in you. He is a character with a big heart but doesn’t show it but learns to let people in and that not everyone is like the family he once knew. This series is the perfect picture of a small town with this one big family in it.
