Fun, but vanilla Spider-Man comic. Nick Spencer usually brings the laughs and pushes the envelope a bit further than he does here. Perhaps the editors reined him in for a big seller. The art is also hit or miss. While the action scenes are fantastic, Ottley draws some weird faces with samey expressions and funky jagged teeth. Still, this is a decent volume and worth a read for Spidey fans.
