A journalist with a secret past and a gentleman teamed up to investigate a shady dude. She's the classic AQ heroine - quirky, resourceful with a quick wit, while he's the smart, broody alpha whom she often drives to exasperation. Theirs is a fun romance, with mad escapades, solid chemistry, really entertaining and witty banter (her thinking he's a professional thief cracked me up), and some good bouts of passion. And he's very supportive and protective when she revealed her past. The mystery is engaging and the supporting cast is fun. AQ's books are my comfort reads, and I definitely enjoyed this one.
