I really wanted to avoid this whole review hahah Let me start off by saying that, I found this book reallyyyy problematic and icky. I couldn’t get past the relationship. I couldn’t romanticize it and feel ok personally. I get this is a controversial read and it was ‘supposed’ (but really?) to be but the only reason I kept going was due to the writing and story. The writing was phenomenal. The plot was done well and I was invested, which is how I finished this so quick! Personally, I didn’t really enjoy either of the MCs but all the characters worked so well in the plot and lots of character development which I love. Uncomfortable, awkward, sad, gripping, and definitely movie worthy. Super fast paced, moving, and engaging.
So how do you rate a book you found to be such a page turner but also really icky??
