Save What's Left by Elizabeth Castellano
3.0
At first, I really enjoyed the story : it was light, and funny . But after passing half the book, I didn’t find it funny anymore. The constant complaining and repetition of the same problem just became an annoyance and I couldn’t wait to finish this book.
After her husband left, Kathleen Deane decided to sell her home in Kansas and buy a very cute home near the sea in Whitbey. On paper, it is perfect : it is an adorable beach house with its own private beach and a spacious deck from where you can see the ocean. But rapidly the dream turns to nightmare as Kathleen finds out that the neighbors are extending their house. Complaints after complaints, the woman receives no answer from the town representatives to stop this monstrosity.
Save What's Left is a story of family, friendship and of determination.
